There is a burden that has increasingly defined the ministry of Bishop Daniel Chiedozie Chimeleze, DD — Bishop Chi Chi. It is the burden to stand before Yahweh in prayer concerning the heart return of dispersed Israelites to Yahweh through Yeshua HaMashiach. This is the foundation of the present mandate.
The mandate developed through an extended study of Romans chapters 9, 10 and 11 and through years of prayer, fasting, ministry experience and spiritual reflection.
Romans 9–11 became particularly significant because Paul addresses the identity, calling, unbelief, mercy and future of Israel while also explaining the place of the Gentiles in God's redemptive purposes.
The Gentile believer is therefore called to humility.
Paul warns Gentile believers not to become arrogant toward the natural branches.
This produces a posture of prayer rather than pride.
The expression “heart return” is deliberate. The mandate is not merely concerned with geographical movement. It is concerned with the turning of hearts toward Yahweh.
The ultimate focus is spiritual reconciliation with Yahweh through Yeshua HaMashiach. The prayer is therefore that dispersed Israelites may encounter the truth, mercy and saving purpose of Yahweh.
The expression draws from biblical first-fruit imagery. Jeremiah describes Israel as belonging specially to Yahweh as the firstfruits of His harvest. Romans 11 also employs first-fruit imagery when Paul discusses Israel and the olive-tree metaphor.
The movement therefore uses the name: ISRAEL THE FIRST FRUIT.
The name expresses a theological conviction about Israel's place in the biblical story and the seriousness with which the movement approaches prayer for Israel.
The mandate does not begin from a position of superiority. It begins from gratitude. According to Paul's olive-tree imagery in Romans 11, Gentile believers are described as branches grafted into an existing root and are warned not to boast over the natural branches.
This creates a powerful foundation for intercession: Humility instead of arrogance, Love instead of hostility, Prayer instead of coercion & Mercy instead of condemnation.
GHROIIN is the intercessory expression of the mandate. Its purpose is to mobilize prayer concerning the heart return of dispersed Israelites to Yahweh through Yeshua HaMashiach. The network is intended to function across nations through:
- Prayer
- Fasting
- Scripture
- Digital communication
- Intercessory teams
- Prayer broadcasts
- Teaching and biblical reflection
The emphasis remains intercession.
To avoid misunderstanding, the mandate should be clearly understood. It is not:
A political campaign.
A movement against Jewish people.
A movement against any nation.
A replacement for the local church.
A claim that every person identifying as Jewish is spiritually lost.
A coercive campaign to force anyone to change their faith.
A platform for hatred, discrimination or hostility.
It is a Christian intercessory burden concerning Israel and the purposes of Yahweh revealed in Scripture.
The center of the mandate is not Israel alone. The center is Yeshua HaMashiach. The prayer is that the purposes of Yahweh concerning Israel will be fulfilled according to His mercy and that hearts will be reconciled to Him through Yeshua.
Therefore, the mandate must always remain Christ-centered, Scripture-centered and prayer-centered.
FROM PRAYER TO COMPASSION
The same ministry burden that produces prayer for Israel also produces compassion for people. This is why Bishop Chi Chi Global Welfare forms another expression of the ministry.
